Hello. My name is Nikola Tunev. I am an aspiring level design student currently in my third year at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
As a game developer, I value hard work, discipline, honesty, accountability, flexibility, and curiosity.
In my free time, I love playing games, reading, spending time with friends and playing sports.
Favorite games: Divinity: Original Sin 2; The Witcher 3; Hollow Knight; Hitman Trilogy; Star Wars: Jedi Survivor; Horizon: Zero Dawn; Football Manager
Favorite genres: RPGs; Action-Adventures; Sport; Strategy
As a game designer, I've always enjoyed building content that players experience directly and seeing their reactions. I can work off the ideas of others, and I've been interested in the psychological tricks level designers use to guide the players through their levels, such as visual leashing, shape language, color use and negative space. This drew me to level design.
As a level designer, I have experience with level design fundamentals such as encounter design and scripting, creating blockouts and pacing. I'm always looking to improve my existing skills and expand my knowledge.
